The heat of the day, the dust and the strength of these horses were what I was trying to capture in this painting. I love these guys, not the largest of the draft breeds, but simply beautiful in their coloring and personalities. I believe the smaller of the two here, the one on our right, was in training which I tried to present by his eagerness in step contrasted by the more methodical gait of the larger horse. Ah yesteryear! I was really born a hundred years too late.16x20 $2000 framed
